Day 9: Sometimes Life Gets in the Way

Despite our best efforts, we all know that sometimes life gets in the way and can truly derail our best intentions. It would be so wonderful to have loads of free time to plan our days, cook low-calorie, healthy meals, exercise without time constraints, and be able to pamper ourselves without the pressure of deadlines. Unfortunately, our lives are too hectic for that to happen in the foreseeable future. Therefore, we can just throw-up our hands in frustration and join the legions of the overweight and unfit, or we can work out a personal plan that fits within our lifestyle, taking us where we want to go.

But how do we stick to our plan when life gets in the way? That's a question that many of us encounter on a daily basis—and with good reason. There will be times when we get sick, go on vacation or are simply too busy. That doesn't mean we have to skip our workouts though. There are ways to stick to our exercise plan no matter what life throws at us. On Day 9 we’ll examine what to do when life gets in the way.
