What is Your Moonbounce?

If you ever want to get a party started with Da Bruhz of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., simply put on George Clinton's "Atomic Dog," and I GUARANTEE a hop will be set owt! However, if you are hosting a kindler & gentler kid-friendly soiree, simply rent a moonbounce, and you'll be forced to drag those little gremlins out of that air-filled paradise kickin' & screamin'.

The attached picture was snapped during this past weekend's Body, Mind & Spirit festivities, and you can just see the extreme joy on the faces of these three little beauties (ummm..btw...that's my snaggled little beauty on the left). Unfortunately, as we grow older and are saddled with the responsibilities of life, the joy of our youth is often replaced by the stress and worry of adulthood. This doesn't have to be the case.

I challenge you to pause right now, and think of at least three things that bring you joy. Once you've locked these things in your frontal lobe, I encourage you to retrieve them from storage the next time the weight of the world seems unbearable or when that bamma in the cubicle next to you gets on your last nerve.

These are my moonbounces:

* Driving my daughter to the bus stop in the morning and simply listening to the random ramblings of a 6-yr-old.

* Picking my daughter up from after school care and walking hand-in-hand with her to the car as we reflect on her day.

* Seeing "Angela's Office" and "Angela's Work Blackberry"  pop-up on the caller ID of my mobile phone.

*Pulling into the driveway of the beautiful home that God has blessed me with.

What are some of your moonbounces?
